Stock markets holiday | BSE, NSE closed for Holi, only 3 trading sessions 'this' week | leader









Leaders Online: The Indian stock market is closed today on Monday (March 25) on the occasion of Holi. Also, the market will be open for only three trading sessions this week. Because the market is closed on Friday 29th March for Good Friday. Currency, debt and equity markets are also closed. They will resume on Tuesday, March 26. (Stock markets holiday)

The market will be closed on 'this' day in April

The market will be closed on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on April 11 and Ram Navami on April 17. There are two more holidays in April. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti (April 14) and Mahavir Jayanti (April 21) fall on Sundays.

The NSE Nifty 50 index closed up 0.39 percent at 22,096 on Friday, while the BSE Sensex gained 0.26 percent at 72,831. Due to this, the market capitalization of all listed companies on BSE increased by Rs 2.28 lakh crore to reach Rs 382.13 lakh crore. Last Friday, except for IT, all other major sectors traded bullish. Optimism has increased as the US Fed maintains its outlook for interest rate cuts in 2024. Nifty auto, media, pharma and realty closed up around 1 percent each. Nifty IT fell by 2.3 percent.

Meanwhile, the Indian rupee hit an all-time low of 83.43 per US dollar on Friday as dollar demand increased.
