Leaders Online: The Indian stock market opened higher today on Thursday ahead of positive global cues and the release of the US inflation rate. Banking and financial stocks led the bullish market. The top gainers on Sensex are Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, PowerGrid, Ultratech, PowerGrid, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Sun Pharma, Wipro, SBI, JSW Steel, LT. While the shares of HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra are showing decline.
On the Nifty, shares of Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Power Grid, HiromotoCorp, Divis Lab rose between 1-3 percent. While the shares of Bajaj Auto, Shriram Finance, HCL Tech are showing decline. Nifty Bank and Nifty Financial Services indices are bullish.

Asian stock markets have fallen. The blue-chip CSI300 index hit a one-month low in early trade. The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.1 percent. MSCI's index of Asia-Pacific shares also fell. US indices closed higher yesterday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose an average of 1.22 percent. While the S&P 500 index gained 0.86 percent and the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.51 percent.
