Leaders Online Desk: The Indian stock market opened higher for the third consecutive session on Monday (April 1). In early trade, the Sensex rose 500 points to touch 74,200. While the Nifty hit a new high on the first day of the financial year 2024-25. Nifty hit a fresh high of 22,530.

The market capitalization of all listed companies on the BSE increased by Rs 4.7 lakh crore to Rs 391.67 lakh crore due to today's early rally.
On the Sensex, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, LT, M&M, Ultratech Cement, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, HCL Tech, SBI are the top gainers. While the shares of Titan, Bharti Airtel have seen a slight decline. BSE Midcap gained 1.3 percent and Smallcap 2 percent.
JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Apollo Hospitals, LT, Hindalco are the top gainers on Nifty. While the shares of Titan, Hero Motocorp are showing a minor decline. Nifty Bank gained 0.8 percent while Nifty Financial Services Index gained 1 percent.
