Leader Online Desk : The positive impact of the boom in the global market was reflected in the domestic market. Today's trading got off to a strong start. Sensex opened with a gain of 300 points while Nifty opened with a gain of 100 points.
IT sector stocks got off to an encouraging start in early trade. Wipro, Infosys LTI Mindtree were the frontrunners. Bharti Airtel is still one of the top gainers today. At the start of trading, the Sensex opened above 73,300 with a gain of around 330 points. Nifty opened up 95 points around 22,300 while Nifty Bank opened up 245 points around 47,932. Around 1,835 shares advanced while 457 shares declined.
Tech Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, LTIMindtree, Infosys and ONGC were the top gainers in the Nifty 50. While Maruti Suzuki, Power Grid Corp, Tata Motors, Shriram Finance and Divi's Lab were the major laggards in the Nifty 50.
