Another news from the Tata Group is that Tata Motors will split into two separate companies namely Passenger Vehicles and Commercial Vehicles. Both the news sent Tata Motors up seven percent for the week and also crossed the Rs 1,000 milestone.

Foreign Portfolio Investors Zr (FPIS) has increased its investment in shares of auto companies in India, according to a report in Friday's edition of the Economic Times.
