Farhan Akhtar recently revealed in an interview that he had first thought of casting Hrithik Roshan in the remake of Amitabh Bachchan's film 'Don'. Farhan said on Raj Shahami's podcast that he had connected with Hrithik even before writing the script of the film.
The actor-filmmaker said, 'I told Hrithik that I am thinking of remaking 'Don'. He said, 'That sounds great.' I replied, 'I will write it and then bring it to you.' However, when Farhan started writing the script, he felt that Shah Rukh's personality and his humorous nature fit the role.
Regarding this, Farhan said, 'When I was writing, it seemed that Shahrukh was the best for this role. But I had already talked to Hrithik. So I thought what to do?
I called Hrithik and said I am writing a script and I think Shah Rukh should call me. Hrithik said, 'Farhan, you have to make your film, you should make it the way you want and if you think Shah Rukh is right, then call him, don't worry.'
Talking about Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan added, “He is a very charming and knowledgeable person who reads a lot. He can talk on any subject and has his own opinions. He is a good listener. He is well-read and interested in people. He is adventurous and a fun guy. He enjoys every moment and doesn't take things too seriously. He is an easy-going person. His spontaneity makes you feel good. He works very hard and that is what keeps him in his place.”
Later, Hrithik did a small role in 'Don 2', which starred Shah Rukh in the lead role.
