In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sonakshi revealed the reason for having an intimate wedding. She said, it is true that we are with each other and this is something we both wanted for a long time. We were clear about how we wanted to do it. We wanted the wedding to be small, intimate and our reception to be a big party where everyone could have fun. I did not want to take stress, so everything happened in my open house.

Sonakshi further said, I was getting my hair done, makeup done and everyone was going in and out of the house. Friends were chilling in my wardrobe. Preparations for food and decoration were going on. So my house is really an open house, that's how I wanted it. It was a very homely and beautiful feeling. Everything was perfect.

The actress has also told that she wore simple clothes because she wanted to be comfortable at the wedding. She wanted to be able to dance a lot at her wedding.
