5 important things about Akal Takht Jathedar…

1. Jathedar said- Sikh traditions are being tampered with for business
Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib condemned the incident of fake Anand Karaj in a fake Gurudwara Sahib during the shooting of a drama in Ghaduan, Mohali. He said that people from the film industry are playing with Sikh traditions by keeping their business as the priority. If they do not stop these activities, Sri Akal Takht Sahib will have to take strict action against them.

2. If Sikh actor-director gets involved then action is taken as per tradition
At the same time, strict action will be taken against the Sikh actors, directors or assistant staff found guilty or involved in this incident by Sri Akal Takht as per Sikh traditions. Soon, a meeting of the Panj Singh Sahibs will be held and a strict decision will be taken to ban the showing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji's presence in films in future.

3. Sikhism has already banned
In a statement issued by the Sri Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat, Giani Raghbir Singh said that the Sikh Panth has long ago banned the filming of fake marriages in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji or in Gurdwara Sahibs. We will never tolerate the shooting of dramas and fake marriages in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

4. The conscience of every devout Sikh was deeply hurt. The Akal Takht Jathedar said that for some time now complaints have been received that films and TV serials are not refraining from filming fake marriages in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and the incident of making a fake Gurdwara Sahib and filming a fake Anand Karaj has deeply hurt the conscience of every devout Sikh.

He said that setting up a fake Gurudwara Sahib for filming Anand Karaj during the shoot is against Sikh traditions. Apart from the fake set of Gurudwara Sahib in Ghaduan, there have also been complaints of actors smoking, which is completely intolerable.

5. Will give order on SGPC report
Akal Takht Jathedar said that he will soon seek a report from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee on the entire incident of setting up a fake Gurdwara Sahib in Ghaduan and shooting Anand Karaj. He will order the Shiromani Gurdwara Committee to take legal action against it.

SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami.

SGPC chief said, we will take action against the accused
Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami strongly condemned the insult of the holy Gurbani and the acts of hurting Sikh traditions for money in films and serials and said that such incidents hurting Sikh sentiments will not be tolerated.

It has been revealed through social media that the scene of Anand Kaaj was filmed by imitating the lighting of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in the set prepared for the shooting of the serial in Ghaduan near Chandigarh, which is a violation of Sikh traditions and etiquette. Although the Sangat has dared to stop this, the police administration should take action against the culprits.

The Shiromani Committee president said that special care should be taken during the shooting of films that Sikh traditions and principles are not tampered with in any way. He said that it is sad that some people violate the traditions of religion only for business interests to earn money.

The Shiromani Committee president has reprimanded such people and asked them to stay away. He has said that a report of this incident will be taken so that necessary action can be taken against the accused.

Punjabi actor Nirmal Rishi.

Punjab Film Association chief said- loss of film industry
Nirmal Rishi, the head of Punjab Film Association, said that I do not know the full details of the incident that happened in Mohali, but the way Nihangs beat up the artists and broke the cameras is wrong. We have come to know that only a setup was installed at the shooting location.

The form of Shri Guru Granth Sahib was not revealed there. The artists could have been explained with love. In Gurbani, Guru Sahib has written only the language of love and not of lifting the sword. In this way, if the setup of marriage in films is banned, then the film industry will be harmed somewhere.
