Recently, Sri Aniruddhacharya Maharaj shot for a special episode of the show 'Laughter Chefs'. In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, he shared his experiences of the show as well as his experiences of trolling. Read some key excerpts from the conversation:

How was your experience on the show? What do you say about this idea of combining laughter and spirituality?

It was a great experience. I was very happy to go there. This show is very good, which brings people of India together. Nowadays families are breaking up. This show works to bring them together. Laughing and making others laugh is a very virtuous act.

See, just like a mother promises to give something good to a small child to feed him medicine, similarly if we teach religion and spirituality with a smile, then the child will understand it easily. Teaching religion and spirituality with a smile is a very good art.

Did any contestant take any spiritual advice from you?

Yes, during the shooting, some people asked me the meaning of 'prasad'. I told them that Prasad means 'Prabhu's darshan'. Everyone felt good to hear this because many people take prasad, but perhaps understood its real meaning for the first time. It was good to see that we can explain religious matters in a humorous way.

What is your opinion on social media? Sometimes people like you and sometimes they troll you.

I will say the same thing that I said earlier about biscuits. Some children in Maharashtra fell ill after eating biscuits. I had said that it contains only refined flour, sugar and palm oil. Some people made fun of me and even trolled me on this statement. But, sooner or later I understood that what was said was correct.

What is the plan for Janmashtami this time?

This time the festival of Lord Shri Krishna will be celebrated in Gauri Gopal Ashram, Vrindavan. The festival of Janmashtami will be celebrated with love and the festival will be enjoyed with everyone.
