Bollywood singer Shreya Ghoshal has postponed her concert scheduled for September 10 in Kolkata. Shreya has said on Instagram that she is deeply hurt by the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata, so she has taken this decision. Samantha also reacted on the rape case

Before Shreya, popular South actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu had given her reaction on the Kolkata rape and murder case. Samantha had reached Mumbai to attend an event where she was asked questions related to the safety of women after the Kolkata case.

Kareena Kapoor had recently compared this case on social media to the Nirbhaya case that happened 12 years ago.

He wrote in a post, 'Even after 12 years, the story is the same and the protest is the same. But we are still waiting for change.'

Preity Zinta had written, 'We are the 5th largest economy in the world. It is extremely painful to see that the face of the accused of rape is covered at the time of arrest, while the face and name of the victim is leaked everywhere in the media. Justice is never fast, punishment is never given, people are never held accountable.'

Hrithik Roshan wrote on the social media platform X, 'We need to build a society where everyone feels safe. But it will take decades. Hopefully the next generation will be better. For now, justice will be that such atrocities are strictly stopped. The only way to do this is to give severe punishment to the accused so that such criminals get scared. This is what we need. I stand with the victim's family and demand justice for their daughter and also stand with the doctors who were attacked.'

Director Zoya Akhtar had written, 'I am waiting for the day when women can be safe and free.'

Alia said- 'Women are not safe anywhere'

Another heartbreaking incident to remind us that it has been more than a decade (since the Nirbhaya rape case) but nothing has changed even today.

On 9 August, a trainee doctor was raped and murdered in Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College. After that, doctors protested. Doctors across the country went on strike. On the other hand, late in the night of 14 August, a mob entered this hospital and vandalized it.
