Director Nitesh Tiwari is working on his upcoming film 'Ramayana' these days. In this film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the role of Lord Ram and South actress Sai Pallavi will be seen in the role of Mata Sita.
Recently, some pictures of Ranbir from the prep session of the film went viral. Now it is believed that the shooting of this film has started in Mumbai from Wednesday 3rd April.

In the photos shared by Aakriti from the set, an under construction set is visible. It has been completely covered but the old pillars and structure of the temple are visible in it.
Director Nitesh Tiwari is planning to make this film in 3 parts.
Child artistes are shooting in the first schedule
According to a report by Pinkvilla, a source associated with the film said that the set of Gurukul has been ready in Film City. Here, in the first schedule of the film, child artists playing the childhood roles of Ram, Lakshman and Bharat are shooting.
Actor Shishir Sharma will be seen in the role of Guru Vashishtha in it. Soon Ranbir will also start shooting for this film.
Names of many actors associated with the film
Only last week, an update related to this film came out. It was discussed that 'Dangal' fame actress Sakshi Tanwar has been cast to play the role of Ravana's wife Mandodari in the film. She will be seen opposite Yash in this.
Earlier, actress Indra Krishna had shared a selfie with Ranbir Kapoor. It is discussed that she will play the role of Queen Kaushalya, mother of Lord Ram in this film.

South superstar Yash will play the role of Ravana in this film. He will join the shooting of the film in July 2024. The makers are planning to release the first part of this film by the second half of the year 2025.
