Leader Online Desk: Police in Andhra Pradesh's Karempudi have booked a man for poisoning his 18-month-old daughter because of her dark skin color. The accused fed poisoned Prasad to Akshaya, an infant girl, who later died.
In Vijayawada, the police registered a case against Mahesh for poisoning his daughter Akshaya because of her dark complexion. The accused forced his wife to lie about the baby's death, the Commission for Protection of Child Rights has started an investigation. On March 31, the baby was found unconscious. The baby was found to be bleeding from the nose. She was rushed to Karempudi Government Hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead, according to reports.
As reported by TOI, accused Mahesh of Petasnegandala village convinced his wife Shravani to tell her that the baby had died due to a seizure.
