Rituraj Gaikwad's century was answered by Marcus Stoinis of Lucknow Supergiants with a century. Lucknow's top order failed to chase Chennai Super Kings' 210; But Stoinis put on a half-century partnership with Devdutt Padikkal and Nicholas Pooran to keep Lucknow's hopes alive. He completed his first century in 'IPL'. On the strength of his century, Lucknow recorded a thrilling victory and won the match by 6 wickets to jump to fourth position in the points table with 10 points.
