New Delhi, Leading News Service: In Maharashtra, elections are scheduled to be held in 4 graduate and teacher constituencies on June 26. BJP announced its 3 candidates for this election on Monday. Incumbent MLA Niranjan Davkhare has been nominated from Konkan Division Graduate Constituency, Kiran Shelar from Mumbai Division Graduate and Shivnath Darade from Mumbai Division Teacher Constituency.
The Central Election Commission announced the elections for the Maharashtra Legislative Council Teachers and Graduate Constituencies. In this election will be held on June 26 for a total of 4 seats namely Mumbai Division Graduate, Konkan Division Graduate, Nashik Division Teacher and Mumbai Division Teacher Constituency.
The list of candidates announced by the BJP for this election includes the names of Niranjan Davkhare from Konkan Division Graduate Constituency, Kiran Shelar from Mumbai Division Graduate and Shivnath Darade from Mumbai Division Teacher Constituency. The list was released from the party headquarters after the Central Election Committee of BJP sealed it.
However, it has been seen that the coordination between the Mahayuti and the Mahavikas Aghadi, which contested the Lok Sabha elections with their constituent parties, has deteriorated in the Legislative Council elections. The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, which supports the Mahayutti, has nominated Abhijit Panse for the Konkan Graduate Constituency even before the announcement of the BJP's candidate. Therefore, Mahayuti will have to persuade MNS.
The Shiv Sena Thackeray group, which is a constituent party of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, has fielded Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab from Mumbai Division Graduate Constituency and J. Md. Abhyankar has been nominated. Due to this, a rift has also arisen in the Mahavikas Aghadi.
