Ajay Devgan and Madhavan starrer film 'Shaitan' made good collection at the box office on the first day. According to the report of industry tracker Sacnilk, this supernatural-horror film has earned Rs 15 crore 21 lakh on the opening day.
Earning of Rs 4.90 crore from advance booking on the second day
The film got the highest occupancy (43.02%) in night shows. Its overall occupancy was 25.70%. Apart from this, the film has already earned Rs 4 crore 90 lakh by selling 1 lakh 95 thousand tickets through advance booking on the second day.
Ajay's fifth best opening film
With this, it became the fifth highest grossing film of Ajay's career on opening day. Ajay and Kareena starrer 'Singham Returns' is at the top of this list. Ajay's film got an opening of Rs 32.09 crore. 'Shaitan' has been directed by Vikas Bahl in which South actress Jyotika is also seen in an important role. Gujarati actress Janaki Bodiwala has made her Bollywood debut with the film.
The film 'Lapata Ladies' has been produced by Aamir Khan and directed by his ex-second wife Kiran Rao.
'Missing Ladies' earned Rs 6.8 crore in 8 days
On the other hand, the film 'Lapata Ladies', made under the banner of Aamir Khan, could not cross the Rs 10 crore mark even in 8 days. The film did a business of only Rs 60 lakh on the second Friday. With this, its collection in India has reached Rs 6 crore 80 lakh.
Apart from Yami, Arun and Priyamani are also seen in important roles in 'Article 370'.
Collection of 'Article 370' 59.85 crores in 15 days

It earned Rs 35 crore 60 lakh in the first weekend and Rs 22 crore 30 lakh in the second weekend. With this, the film has so far collected a total of Rs 59 crore 85 lakh.
