Question: Why do production houses keep the money stuck? What is their benefit in this?

answer- Obviously, the intentions are bad. People running production houses do not even consider others as human beings except the top two-three categories. They just get agreements done with the actors and actresses, and leave out the rest of the crew members, makeup artists and technicians. There is no account of their work. All the money is spent in paying the top people, the lower people are left behind. Since there is no agreement, these people are not even able to fight for their rights.

Question: Where do producers get so much courage from? Is there no one to interrupt them?

answer- Producers have a lobby. They support each other. If anyone raises his voice against them, he is boycotted from the industry. It becomes difficult to get work in future.

Question- What should be done to stop this arbitrariness?

answer- Every person involved in the shooting of the film should have an agreement. How many days he will work, how much money he will get and when will he get it, all this information should be recorded in writing. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting should make a rule that no producer's film should be released until all the dues are paid. Producers who have been repeatedly accused of such things should be completely banned.

Question – Does the money get stuck even after the agreement is made?

answer- I myself am a victim of this. I directed Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's film Bhootnath. Till date I have not received my full payment. Vasu Bhagnani did not pay the full amount for 'Kal Kisne Dekha Hai'. I had filed a case. But how many people will be able to do this? To stop such incidents, the government and the association will have to be strict. If action is taken against even one person, then everyone will improve.

Question- What will you say about those actors who are working as producers?

answer– To avoid wasting money, actors have started getting into production. Shahrukh Khan's Rs 6 crores were also stuck in the market. To avoid facing all this in future, he opened his own production house.
