Shahrukh Khan's film 'Baadshah' was released on 27 August 1999. Today is its 25th anniversary. On this occasion, Vivek Sharma, who had directed King Khan in the film 'Bhootnath', shared some interesting stories related to this film. He told that producer Ratan Jain had helped Shahrukh Khan with Rs 7.50 lakh in buying his first flat. In return, Shahrukh Khan had promised to work in his next film. Keeping his promise, Shahrukh worked in producer Ratan Jain's film 'Baadshah'.
While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Vivek Sharma said- Before Mannat, Shahrukh Khan used to live in Amrit Society in Band Stand. Shahrukh Khan is short of money to buy this flat. He asked for money from producer Mukesh Duggal and a couple of other people but everyone refused. Producer Ratan Jain helped him. At that time, Shahrukh Khan had promised Ratan Jain that he will do one of his films in return. Before this, Shahrukh had worked in producer Ratan Jain's film 'Baazigar'.

Vivek Sharma said- I told Shahrukh Khan about Amrit Society. Shahrukh was working in Mahesh Bhatt's film 'Chahat' at that time. In those days, producer K.K. Talwar was sending his flat. His son Rishi Talwar was assisting Mahesh Bhatt with us. I told him that dad wants to sell the flat for sister's wedding. Then I told Shahrukh about Amrit Society. At that time the price of that flat was 55 lakh rupees. Shahrukh Khan was short of 7.50 lakh rupees to buy that flat. At that time, producer Ratan Jain helped and Shahrukh Khan bought that flat in 1996.

Talking about the film 'Badshah', Twinkle Khanna was seen with Shahrukh Khan in this film. Apart from them, stars like Amrish Puri, Johnny Lever, Prem Chopra, Rakhee, Sharat Saxena and Sachin Khedekar were also seen. The film was directed by Abbas-Mustan. After 'Baazigar', this was the director's second film with Shahrukh. Both the films were produced by Ratan Jain.
