Recently, Diljit Dosanjh was seen in the film Amar Singh Chamkila directed by Imtiaz Ali. Recently Imtiaz has revealed that Shahrukh had once called Diljit the best actor of India. Impressed by his praise, the director offered this film to Diljit.
The director also told that if Diljit had not agreed to play this character, perhaps this film would never have been made.
On praising Shahrukh, Diljit said – he will be in the mood
Last Saturday, director Imtiaz Ali, Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh had attended The Kapil Sharma Show. During this, Kapil asked the director the reason for casting Diljit. In response, Imtiaz said- Once Shahrukh Khan told me that Diljit is the best actor of the country. On this Diljit said- Maybe he will be in the mood.
Imtiaz further said- If Diljit had refused to do this role, perhaps this film would not have been made. We have been very lucky. We could not have found better actors than Parineeti and Diljit.
Even in 2015, Shahrukh had praised Diljit
During the promotion of the film Dilwale in 2015, Shahrukh had praised Diljit a lot. He had said- I have seen your films. I am also a big fan of yours. The acting you do is very world class. I am not speaking in front of you just like that.
Shahrukh had further said- Diljit, I love you with all my heart. On this Diljit had said- Hi, Rabba.
In 2017, Diljit lent his voice to the song Raula from Shahrukh's film Jab Harry Met Sejal.

The film Amar Singh Chamkila has been released on OTT platform Netflix on April 12. This film is directed by Imtiaz Ali. The writer and producer of the film is also Imtiaz Ali. In the film, Diljit, Amar Singh Chamkila and Parineeti Chopra are in the role of his wife Amarjot.
