Kajol has revealed that she wanted to leave the industry after doing three films. But a suggestion from Shahrukh Khan stopped him from doing so. Shahrukh told him that he should learn acting, so that he could enjoy the process.

In an interview with Indian Today, Kajol recalled her acting in the film Udhar Ki Zindagi. This was the third film of his career, which he did at the age of 18. At this time Shahrukh advised him to learn the technique of acting. Kajol was very surprised by the actor's suggestion.

Kajol said, 'I remember I had completed the film. Before that Shahrukh said- You know you just have to learn acting. On this I said- What is this? What is he talking about? Of course, I'm doing a great job.

Regarding this he said, 'I had done the film Udhar Ki Zindagi. When I was finishing the film, I told my mother – You know mother, my work is done. At the age of 18 and a half, my work was over. I can't do it anymore. I can't cry anymore. I can't put glycerin anymore. I can't. I don't want to do these films anymore. I just want to do four scenes and 10 songs. I had signed 4 such films. Only after this I learned the technique of acting.
