Who is Shah Jahan Sheikh?
W. Many women from Sandeshkhali in Bengal have accused Shah Jahan of sexual violence and land grabbing. A warrant was issued against him in a case related to an attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials. For 55 days after this he was lying to the police. He was finally arrested on February 29. The Calcutta High Court had slammed the state police for delay in taking action against the Trinamool Congress leader, saying “he should be arrested”. He was arrested three days after this.
