Principal Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami addressing the media after the SGPC meeting.

In the meeting of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in Amritsar, a demand has been made to register a case against the newly elected MP from Himachal Pradesh (HP) and film actress Kangana Ranaut. SGPC chief advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that a case should be registered against Kangana at Chandigarh Airport.

The SGPC chief said that after the Chandigarh airport controversy, the CISF jawan and Sikh girl were transferred, but no action was taken against Kangana Ranaut. At the same time, the government should think about the treatment being meted out to Punjabis and Sikhs in Himachal Pradesh. This will not cause any harm to them, but the number of tourists will decrease. The Himachal Pradesh government should learn from this that this time Punjabis have turned to Jammu and Kashmir instead of Himachal Pradesh.

Yoga girl's mistake is not forgivable

The SGPC chief said that the issue of yoga had come up in the Golden Temple premises a few days ago. The girl also apologized, but many things are not forgivable. Whereas there is a screen outside the Golden Temple premises and people are repeatedly warned to maintain decorum. But this does not happen. If mistakes are forgiven in this manner, then the right message will not be conveyed.

Preparation for legal action on judiciary paper dispute in Rajasthan

Chief Advocate Dhami said that during the judiciary examination in Rajasthan, two Sikh girls were not allowed to enter the examination centre because they were wearing Shri Sahib and Kada. Whereas this is their fundamental right. It has been seen that Sikhs are harassed at airports and in various examinations in the country regarding their Kakars. In such a situation, SGPC is taking the opinion of experts, after which legal action will be taken.

Stars will not be able to promote their films at the Golden Temple

In the recent past, it has been seen that Punjabi and Bollywood stars come to the Golden Temple to promote their films. They bow their heads and bring cameramen with them. Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib had also raised objections on this.

But now this will not happen. SGPC says that the Golden Temple is a center of faith. In such a situation, stars will only be allowed to bow down as devotees, they will not be able to promote the film.
