Leaders Online Desk: Karnataka's veteran musician and singer K.G. Jayan passed away today (16th) due to prolonged illness. He was 90 years old. He breathed his last today at his home in Tripunithura in Ernakulam district of Kerala. His demise has left the southern film industry in mourning. He is the father of Malayalam film actor Manoj K Jayan. Jayan's body will be cremated on Wednesday (17th).
An identity made by the name Jayavijaya
Jayan's compositions, his devotional songs, have long been celebrated as chartbusters in the Malayalam music scene. His twin brother K. G. Jayan produced many songs with Vijayan. Which is still famous among Malayali people. The duo was known as the “Jaya-Vijaya” duo. The influence of his music can be seen all over the state of Kerala. He had created a distinct identity in people's minds with his musical influence.
