According to BBC report, the actress has a serious disease called lupus. In the year 2017, Selena Gomez had to undergo kidney transplant due to lupus. Lupus is a type of auto immune disease in which the immune system of the body becomes hyperactive and starts attacking normal tissue. This disease can be managed through medication.
