Patna/Ranchi; News Agency: Jharkhand Police arrested 6 people from Deoghar on Saturday in connection with the NEET paper leak. All the detainees are from Bihar's Nalanda district. All these will be taken to Patna in Bihar. It was said by the police of both Bihar and Jharkhand states that the evidence of NEET paper cracking has been obtained from Jharkhand itself. The mastermind of the case as well as the employee of Nalanda College in Bihar, Sanjeev Singh alias Sanjeev Mukhia, has been revealed from his history to be a paper thief.
The NEET exam was held on 5th May. The paper had reached some students and centers on this day. When the police reached one such centre, they found a burnt paper. Police has also seized exam related material bearing the number 6136488. This is said to have happened in a center in Hazaribagh. It was here that it was noticed that the paper broke out from Jharkhand itself.
Officials of NTA and Ministry of Education have been briefed about the action taken so far by the local investigative agencies and the facts that have come to light. The 6 arrested persons include Paramjit Singh alias Bittu, Chintu alias Baldev Kumar, Kaju alias Prashant Kumar, Ajit Kumar, Rajeev Kumar alias Karu and Pinku Kumar.
It is clear that Sanjeev, an employee of Noorsarai Udyan College, is the leader of the paper forgery gang. The gang had been on the trail of the paper for months. A professor had sent a paper to Sanjeev on WhatsApp. Later the paper was solved with the help of medical students from Patna and Ranchi. The solved paper was sent along with the answer to the mobile phone of Chintu alias Baldev of Karyaparasurai. However, the system has not yet given any information about the teacher.
The answer sheet was printed by Pintu and 20-25 candidates were rehearsed in the hostel of Bandh Learn and Play School, Khemnichak at 9 am. Of course all these candidates have managed to score good percentage in one subject. From this, it is concluded that they were able to remember the questions and answers of the same subject.

On May 5, the police arrested the student Abhishek from the examination center. Abhishek's father Awadhesh was also arrested on the same day.
Awadhesh lives in Kako in Ranchi. They are billionaires. Nalanda police raided Sanjeev's house on Friday; But he absconded. Sanjeev's family members were interrogated.

Prabhat Ranjan's daughter has also done MBBS. 20-25 candidates were asked questions at Prabhat Ranjan's house in Khemnichak. Prabhat Ranjan and Sanjeev have a close relationship. It was on Sanjeev's request that Prabhat rented the house to Ashutosh. Prabhat Ranjan was also questioned by the police. He is also under suspicion.
