Sanjeev Kapoor rejected Akshay for asking for ₹1 more: Said- 'Master Chef' makers had returned, signed the next season on my own terms

Akshay Kumar judged the first season of the TV reality show 'Master Chef India' which started in 2010. Celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor was a part of the third and fourth seasons of the show.

In a recent interview, Sanjeev told that the makers had offered him to be the judge of the first season of this show. However, when Sanjeev asked for one rupee more as fee than Akshay Kumar, the makers refused to sign him.

'The makers finalised Akshay before signing Sanjeev'
Sanjeev Kapoor talked about this in an interview given to Siddharth Kannan. Sanjeev said, 'When the makers of Master Chef came to me, before starting the conversation, they told me that they have finalized Akshay Kumar as a judge for the show.

Now they want to sign me as the second judge. I said okay but I will take 1 rupee more as fee than Akshay Kumar.

Sanjeev further told that the makers of the show were shocked to hear his condition. The makers refused to sign him in the show. In the first season of the show, chefs like Kunal Kapoor and Ajay Chopra were seen with Akshay.

However, later the makers signed Sanjeev Kapoor for the third and fourth seasons of the show. Sanjeev said, 'Later the makers of the show came to me again. This time I signed the show on my terms.'

Let us tell you, Sanjeev Kapoor is considered the first and most famous chef of the country. Whereas Akshay Kumar worked as a waiter in hotels and restaurants before his Bollywood debut.
