The 2012 film Son of Sardar was a huge hit, starring Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. Now the shooting of its sequel Son of Sardar 2 is going to start soon, although there were reports that Sanjay Dutt has been removed from the film just a few days before the shooting begins. The reason for this was said to be his UK visa being rejected. However, Dainik Bhaskar sources have confirmed that the news of Sanjay Dutt being replaced by Ravi Kishan is a rumour.
A close source associated with the making of Son of Sardar 2 has told that Sanjay Dutt has not been removed from the film. He is still a part of the film, he is only shooting his part in India.
There was a rumour that he was dropped from the film because of the 1993 bomb blast
In a recent Mid Day report, citing sources, it was said that Sanjay Dutt has applied for UK visa several times since his arrest in the 1993 bomb blast, but his visa request is rejected every time. The first shooting schedule of Son of Sardar has been kept in the UK. As soon as the film team came to know that Sanjay Dutt's visa request has been rejected, the team replaced Sanjay with Ravi Kishan.

Ajay Devgan made the official announcement of the shooting
On Tuesday, Ajay Devgan made the official announcement of the start of the shooting of the film. He shared some behind the scenes videos and wrote- 'The journey of Son of Sardar 2 is being started with blessings, prayers and amazing team.'
In the video shared, Ajay Devgan is seen in the Gurudwara.
Amidst the news of Sanjay Dutt being removed from the film, Ajay Devgan has tagged him in his post. Along with Sanjay, Ajay has also tagged Ravi Kishan in the post. This makes it clear that both Sanjay and Ravi Kishan will be seen together in the film.
Let us tell you that there were serial bomb blasts in Mumbai in the year 1993. During the investigation, Sanjay Dutt's name also came up, for which he had to stay in jail for several months. Sanjay Dutt's UK visa requests have been getting rejected ever since his name came up in the case.
Let us tell you that Mrinal Thakur will be seen in an important role with Ajay Devgan in Son of Sardar 2. Many big faces like Chunky Pandey, Sanjay Mishra will also be seen in the film.
