Some time ago there were reports that Sanjay Dutt has been removed from the film Son of Sardar 2. The reason given for his removal was that he did not have a UK visa, where most of the film is to be shot. However, a source told Bhaskar that Sanjay Dutt has not been removed from the film, but he is shooting his part in India.
Now Sanjay Dutt has given his opinion on not getting UK visa. He said that it is wrong that he was not given visa. He had also submitted his proper documents.
Sanjay Dutt also revealed that he had initially got a visa but it was later cancelled.
Sanjay said- I am upset with this decision of the UK government
Talking to Bombay Times, Sanjay Dutt said that he is upset with this decision. The actor said that the UK government has not done the right thing. Sanjay Dutt said- They gave the visa initially. Everything was ready in the United Kingdom. Then after a month my visa was cancelled. I had given all the documents to the government.
Why did the government there give me a visa in the first place? They should not have given me a visa. How come it took them a month to understand the laws?
Kept silence on the news of being replaced by Ravi Kishan
There were also reports that Ravi Kishan has been cast in the film in place of Sanjay. When the actor was questioned about this, he remained silent and did not give any reaction to it.
He just said that when there are so many riots there, why would anyone want to go to Britain. He further said- I am not missing anything. But yes, they (UK Government) have done wrong. They need to improve it. I am a law abiding citizen. I follow the law and respect the law of every country.
Ajay Devgan made the official announcement of the shooting
Recently, Ajay Devgan made the official announcement of the start of the shooting of the film. He shared some behind the scenes videos and wrote- 'The journey of Son of Sardar 2 is being started with blessings, prayers and an amazing team.'
Amidst the news of Sanjay Dutt being removed from the film, Ajay Devgan has tagged him in his post. Along with Sanjay, Ajay has also tagged Ravi Kishan in the post. This makes it clear that both Sanjay and Ravi Kishan will be seen together in the film.
The reason given for the eviction was the 1993 bomb blast
In a recent Mid Day report, citing sources, it was said that Sanjay Dutt has applied for UK visa several times since his arrest in the 1993 bomb blast, but his visa request is rejected every time. The first shooting schedule of Son of Sardar has been kept in the UK. As soon as the film team came to know that Sanjay Dutt's visa request has been rejected, the team replaced Sanjay with Ravi Kishan.
