Many actors including Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Karisma Kapoor worked together in the multi-starrer film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' released in 1999. In 1998, during the shooting of this film in Jodhpur, some of the star cast of the film including Salman had hunted black buck.
Now in an interview, actor Mahesh Thakur, who played the role of Anand Babu in the film, has spoken. Mahesh told that at that time the police came to the set and picked up these five artists and took them to the police station.

It was a very bad experience for us: Mahesh
In an interview given to YouTuber Siddharth Kanan, Mahesh said, 'It was a very bad experience. We were shooting a song in Jodhpur when some policemen came on the set and picked up everyone and took them to the police station. There was no involvement of me, Mohnish Bahl and Karisma Kapoor in this whole matter, but whatever we saw and experienced was very useless.
Next day Salman and Saif were absolutely normal: Mahesh
Mahesh further said, 'The police had taken away Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam Kothari, Tabu and Sonali Bendre from the set. Of these, they kept Salman in the police station overnight. After that his brothers Arbaaz and Sohail came to rescue him. The next day, Salman returned to the set and continued shooting the film in a normal manner. Saif was also normal the next day.
In this case, Salman has gone to jail several times since 1998.
'The names of big artists were associated with the issue, hence the issue became more prominent'
Holding the media responsible in this entire matter, Mahesh said, 'Since the names of many big artists were associated in this matter. Especially Salman Khan, in such a situation the news people made a lot of noise about this matter. The media spread a lot of negativity but in the end nothing came out.
Due to this matter, the Jodhpur schedule was definitely canceled and the entire cast was sent back to Mumbai. However, after some time we met again and we completed the shooting of this film on time.
