On October 12, NCP Ajit faction leader Baba Siddiqui was murdered in Mumbai. The responsibility of this murder was taken by gangster Lawrence and his gang.
Baba Siddiqui was also a very close friend of Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Since his death, Salman has remained in constant touch with his family. He also calls Baba's son Zeeshan every night to inquire about his well-being.

Salman says- he is not able to sleep properly Baba Siddiqui's son Zeeshan said- 'Salman Bhai is extremely saddened by my father's murder. He often remembers them and talks to us to inquire about our well being.
16 days have passed since this incident and Salman talks to us every day. He calls late at night and tells that he too is not able to sleep properly.
He supported me a lot after father's death. Zeeshan further said- 'Salman Bhai and Papa were close to each other like real brothers. After father's death, brother has supported us a lot. His support always remains and will remain so in future too.
There was a very deep friendship between Baba Siddiqui and Salman. Salman used to attend Baba's Iftar party every year.
After Baba's demise, Salman went to his house amid tight security.
Lawrence gang had taken responsibility for the murder Baba Siddiqui was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan's office on the night of 12 August. So far 9 accused have been arrested in this case. 3 accused are absconding. Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating the case.
The responsibility of the murder was taken by gangster Lawrence who was already after Salman, close to Baba. He wants Salman to apologize to the Bishnoi community in the black buck hunting case of 1998.
Salman is hosting 'Bigg Boss 18' Salman's security has been tightened after Baba's murder. The actor is currently hosting the reality show 'Bigg Boss 18'. Earlier in the Weekend Ka Vaar episode also, Salman had shared his feelings through gestures.
The actor had said that he did not want to come to the set of the show but due to professional commitments he had to come there.
