Director-choreographer Remo D'Souza had a heart attack 4 years ago. In a recent interview, the director mentioned that incident and that phase.

In an interview to casting director Mukesh Chhabra, Remo said, 'I was in the gym that day when I started feeling strange.

I didn't work out, but as soon as I started doing stretches, I started feeling pain. Later, I started feeling nauseous.'

Remo had a heart attack in the year 2020 due to 100% blockage.

My wife started crying and I was laughing: Remo Remo further said, 'Seeing me in this condition, my wife took me to the hospital. When we reached the hospital, the doctor checked and told me that it was a major heart attack. He told me that I had 100% blockage.

Hearing this, my wife started crying and I was laughing. I was thinking that I am so fit, how can I get a heart attack? The doctor said that you are fit so you walked to the hospital, otherwise people are not able to reach here.

In the year 2018, Remo directed Salman in the film 'Race 3'. Despite being a flop, this film earned Rs 300 crore.

Salman remained connected to his wife the whole time Remo further said that Salman Khan had helped him a lot at that time. Remo said- 'That day Salman kept talking to my wife on the phone continuously. When I went to the operation theatre and came out, he was with my wife.

Salman talked to Lizelle till she came to the ICU and on the bed. That is why people love him because he really comes forward to help people.

Remo and Lizelle got married in 1999. The couple has two sons.

Remo suffered a heart attack in the year 2020 due to 100% blockage. He was treated at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. On the work front, the director is currently busy with the film 'Be Happy'. Recently, he has also made his acting debut with the film 'Madgaon Express'.
