UP is the 5th BJP ruled state, where this film was made tax free. Along with Yogi, many BJP MLAs including Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak also watched the movie. Yogi sat on the back seat in the multiplex.
The film's lead actors Vikrant Massey and Raashi Khanna also attended this special screening. Earlier, the star cast of the movie had met the CM.
The film is based on the Godhra incident that took place in Gujarat in 2002. The film 'The Sabarmati Report' is based on the Godhra train fire that occurred on February 27, 2002 in Gujarat. Then bogie number S6 of Sabarmati Express parked near Godhra station was set on fire. 59 Hindu Kar Sevaks returning from Ayodhya were burnt alive. These included 27 women and 10 children.
Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat at that time. After the Godhra incident, riots broke out in Gujarat. According to government figures, 790 Muslims and 254 Hindus were killed in these riots. At that time there was BJP government at the centre. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister.
On November 19, Vikrant Massey and his team met Yogi Adityanath at the government residence located at 5-Kalidas Marg.

BJP workers Of For Special screening Bharatiya Janata Party Lucknow Mahanagar has organized special screening of this film for party workers on 21, 22 and 23 November in different assembly constituencies. It will be completely free. Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi said that more and more people should watch the film.
