Toronto/New Delhi, News Agency: The incident of paying tribute to Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in the Parliament of Canada has caused reactions from India. Foreign Minister of India S. Jaishankar tried to explain to Canada what terrorism is by recalling the Kanishka plane blast (S. Jaishankar).
On the 39th anniversary of the Kanishka plane blast, Jaishankar paid tribute to those who lost their lives in that incident. He (S. Jaishankar) also warned Canada that terrorism will not be tolerated, nor will glorification of terrorism be tolerated.
The Indian Consulate in Vancouver has also announced to organize a program to commemorate the victims of the bombing. It is noteworthy here that Chandra Arya, an Indian MP of Indian origin, condemned this act in the Parliament of Canada itself! (S. Jaishankar)
