Rupali Ganguly, who became popular with her character in the TV show 'Anupama', is in the headlines these days for her personal life. Recently his step daughter Isha Verma made some serious allegations against him.
After remaining silent for a long time, Rupali has now taken legal action on the matter and filed a defamation case against Isha. Along with this, he has also asked for a compensation of Rs 50 crore. After this action of Rupali, Isha has made her Instagram account private. Not only this, he has also deleted his Twitter account. According to Rupali Ganguly's lawyer, Sana Raees Khan, this is the first victory for her client.
Rupali filed defamation case, compensation of Rs 50 crore
While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Sana said, 'Rupali has taken legal steps in this matter. He has filed a defamation case against Esha Verma and has sought compensation of Rs 50 crore. This is her first win as Isha has deleted her Twitter account after the notice sent by us. This proves that the allegations were completely baseless.
Rupali breaks her silence in defense of her 11 year old child
Sana told what was the biggest challenge in this case. He said, 'The biggest challenge was that Rupali had maintained silence in the beginning. He and Isha had a very good relationship, they were good friends and no one expected such allegations. It was a shock. Rupali did not say anything at first because she did not want this matter to become public. But when the allegations started increasing and her child was brought into question, she decided to speak out. Their child is 11 years old. Such allegations give a very wrong impression in the society.
These allegations had a bad impact on Rupali's 39 years of hard work.
Sana also talked about Rupali's image and said, 'She is a very good-natured person. I know him personally. She never wishes harm to anyone. This allegation has caused great damage to his image. She always behaves well. But when such false allegations are made against someone, it becomes very difficult. His integrity has been hurt by this entire incident. The personal and professional integrity he has maintained for so many years. Till date she has stayed away from any controversy. Even after 39 years of hard work and honesty, suddenly such damaging comments caused so much loss.
Sana further said, 'To some extent, the media tried to highlight this matter. However, after our notice, Isha deleted everything, which proved that she was lying. The media should be a little cautious going forward.
All Isha's allegations are completely false
When Sana was asked whether all the allegations made by Isha against Rupali were false? So he clearly said, 'Yes, we completely deny all these allegations. All these allegations are false. Whatever Isha has said was completely wrong. And this was proven when he deleted everything.
Legal action will continue
Finally, Sana said about the further legal process, 'Till now we have not received any apology from Isha. We will continue our legal action fully. Rupali's image has been deliberately harmed. We will take completely legal action in this matter.
What is the whole matter?
Isha Verma had made many serious allegations against Rupali Ganguly in a social media post in 2020. He had said that Rupali and her father Ashwin Verma had an illicit relationship for 12 years, while Ashwin was in his married life. Isha also said that Rupali used to interfere in her and her sister's life and whenever she talked to her father, Rupali used to abuse her and threatened to kill her. Isha described Rupali's behavior as that of Rhea Chakraborty, who used to mentally harass Sushant Singh Rajput.
Let us tell you that in the year 2013, Rupali Ganguly married Ashwin. Was married to Verma. Before marriage, both were in a relationship for 12 years. The couple has a son from this marriage. Whereas Isha is the daughter of Ashwin from his first wife.
