The 55th International Film Festival is being organized in Goa. The trailer of the film Chola, directed by Atul Garg, was launched in a program of the Producers Association in the film festival, over which an uproar started. Karni Sena protested against the film at the event itself and accused the filmmaker of insulting Sanatan Dharma.

Actually, it is shown in the trailer that the hero takes off the saffron clothes from his body and sets it on fire. He also sets fire to Rudraksha rosary and Tulsi. As soon as these scenes were shown in the film festival, Karni Sena started creating ruckus. Expressing objection, Karni Sena's youth army president Surjit Singh Rathod and Rajesh Jain reached the stage. After giving his introduction, Surjit Singh said, burning saffron clothes and Rudraksha beads is an insult to Sanatan Dharma. Which will not be tolerated at all. Leave alone the film, we will not even allow its trailer to be shown anywhere.

Seeing the uproar, the film's director Atul Garg tried to convince Surjit Singh. He also said that this is not the right time to raise objection, he will definitely show them the entire film on time, but Karni Sena did not stop the protest.

During the film festival, the trailer of the film Chola was shown in the yacht of IMPA (Indian Motion Picture Producers Association), when senior actor Manoj Joshi was also present. As soon as Karni Sena started protesting, seeing the heat of the atmosphere, Manoj Joshi left the program.

Let us tell you that the audience had made advance booking for this program. If reports are to be believed, Karni Sena's Surjit Rathod had become a part of the program on the invitation of the film's director Atul Garg.

Karni Sena issued a press note demanding boycott of the film.

After the uproar at the trailer launch event, Karni Sena youth president Surjit Singh Rathore has issued a press note on behalf of the Sena demanding boycott of the film.

Let us tell you that the film Chola is the story of a young professor who goes to an ashram to find peace. He dons saffron robes and starts living like a saint, but when he does not find peace, he burns his clothes and garland and becomes a professor again.
