RR vs RCB : First blow for RCB; Faf Duplessis out leader

Nandre Berger gave Rajasthan Royals their second win. Glenn Maxwell returned to the pavilion with one run in three balls. After a fast start, RCB suffered two back-to-back setbacks. Chahal dismissed Duplessis to give the team their first success, while new batsman Maxwell could not do anything special.

First blow to RCB; Faf Duplessis out

The first blow came in the form of RCB captain Faf Duplessis. Rajasthan spinner Yuzvendra Chahal gave the team their first success. Duplessis was dismissed for 44 off 33 balls. With this, the 125-run partnership for the first wicket between Kohli and Duplessis was broken. It was the 47th century partnership for RCB in the IPL that Chahal ended.

Virat Kohli scored his third half-century in IPL 2024 with a brilliant batting against Rajasthan. This is Kohli's first fifty in the last nine IPL matches in Jaipur. Kohli along with captain Faf Duplessis gave the team a fast start.

Kohli-Duplessis half-century partnership

Virat Kohli and captain Faf Duplessis gave RCB a fast start against Rajasthan Royals. Both the batsmen completed half-century partnerships until the end of the powerplay for the first wicket. After six overs, RCB scored 53 runs without losing a single wicket. Currently, Kohli is at the crease with 32 runs off 25 balls and Duplessis on 14 runs off 11 balls. This is the first time this season that RCB have not lost a single wicket during the Powerplay.

During the match, all eyes will be on Rajasthan's dashing batsman Jos Buttler. He is regarded as one of the most prolific batsmen in T20 cricket. He has the ability to single-handedly turn a match around. But this season he has been ravaged by his bat. He has scored only 31 runs in 3 matches while playing for Rajasthan in this tournament.
