Bollywood actress Richa Chadha has talked about her and Ali Fazal's interfaith marriage in an interview. Richa is a Hindu while Ali is a Muslim, so how was their marriage possible? Regarding this, Richa said, 'If you are firm on your choice and your family supports you, then nothing matters to you. When you fall in love, there is no filter in it, love is just love.'

Richa further said that when she was dating Ali, she did not want her family to come in the media's sight and for anyone to bother them.
Richa said, 'When I was ready to tell my family about Ali, we accepted our relationship publicly.'

Richa told that she confirmed her relationship with Ali when both of them were going to participate in the Venice Film Festival in 2017. They felt that this was the perfect opportunity to announce their relationship. A few years later, both of them got married under the Special Marriage Act during the Corona lockdown in 2020.
Court marriage was done during Corona lockdown
Richa had said about this in an old interview, 'We got married under the Special Marriage Act and it was a very good decision. Everything was done peacefully. I think the media makes all these things very big, which worsens the situation.'

After the court marriage, Ali Fazal and Richa got married with great pomp in Lucknow on 4 October 2022. In February this year, Richa and Ali shared the good news with their fans and told that both are going to become parents for the first time.
Richa has many big projects
Richa has recently appeared in the series 'Heeramandi'. In this series, she played the character of Lajjo. In this series of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, many actors like Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha, Fardeen Khan, Farida Jalal appeared in important roles along with Richa. Apart from 'Heeramandi', Richa will be seen in 'Mirzapur 3' and 'Metro In Dinon'.
