After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, Rhea Chakraborty and her brother had to stay in jail for a long time. Recently, during an interview, the actress has told that when she was in jail, her friends used to drink alcohol with her parents every day. When she came out of jail and came to know about this, she got very angry. The actress has also said in the conversation that after going to jail, she realized who her true friends are.
Recently, in an interview with Humans of Bombay, Rhea Chakraborty talked about the support she got from her friends during her bad times. The actress said, my friends played a great role in my bad times. When I was in jail, they took great care of my parents. My friends, who were couples, used to go to my house every day and eat and drink with my parents.
Further the actress said, when I came out of jail, I saw them and asked them how they have gained so much weight. I told them you bastards I am in jail and you guys are eating food here and gaining weight. So they used to reply that we used to eat and drink with uncle and aunty to feed them. So that they could feel normal.
Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on 8 September 2020.
Speaking about her experience of coming out of jail, she said- that was a very strange day
The actress has also shared her experience of coming out of jail in the conversation. She has said, it was a very strange day. We were happy, but broken. We were not like before. We were afraid. My brother was only 24 years old when he went to jail. He had scored 96 percent in CAT. He got admission in IIM, but he had to go to jail the same year. This was going to be his life journey. He came home after spending three months in jail. It was very different. But we still have the courage to hope. We still believe that we will become normal one day.
Let us tell you that on 14 June 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide by hanging himself in his Bandra flat. Sushant was in a relationship with Rhea Chakraborty, who left his flat just a few days before his death. Rhea Chakraborty's name was also included in the investigation. Rhea had to stay in jail for a long time for being in contact with drug peddlers.
