Apart from Hindi, Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon has also worked in many South films. In a recent interview, she talked about the working style of South and Bollywood. She said that in South, shooting is done well with less people whereas this does not happen in the shooting of Bollywood films.
Raveena, while narrating the story of the shooting of the South film 'Taqdeerwala' in an interview, said, 'I and my co-star Venkatesh went to Mauritius to shoot five songs. Here only a crew of 9 people went with us. I was stunned to see this. We shot five songs with only 9 people in which there was no lightman, no generator, no lights, nothing. They shot those songs with two baby lights and reflectors and even then you see the quality of the songs.
The film 'Taqdeerwala' was released in 1995.
Raveena further said about the shooting of Bollywood films, 'Here on international outdoor shooting, a crew of about 200 people goes with us. Seeing this I wonder what is the need for so many people when in the South the shooting is completed with only 9 people.'
Overall, Raveena says that the South film industry does excellent work even with less resources and low budget, whereas this does not happen in Bollywood.
Raveena was seen in 'KGF 2'
Raveena's previous South film was 'KGF 2' which was released in 2022. Raveena played the role of PM Ramika Sen in this film. Yash was the lead star in the film and Sanjay Dutt became the villain.
