The entire country is in mourning due to the demise of industrialist Ratan Tata. Apart from being an excellent businessman, Ratan was also interested in films.

However, he invested money in only one Bollywood film in his entire life. This film was Amitabh Bachchan's 'Aitbar'.

Ratan Tata co-produced this film with Jatin Kumar and Mandeep Singh under the banner of Tata BSS.

Made for Rs 9.50 crore, earned Rs 7.96 crore This film, released in 2004, was a flop at the box office. Made for Rs 9 crore 50 lakh, this film earned Rs 7 crore 96 lakh. Seeing such fate of the film, Ratan Tata never produced any other film again.

'Aitbar' was inspired by Hollywood film 'Fear' 'Aitbar' was a psychological thriller, which was released in the year 2004. Apart from Amitabh, it featured Bipasha Basu and John Abraham. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, this film was inspired by the 1996 Hollywood film 'Fear'. In the film, Amitabh played the role of a protective father who goes to any extent to save his daughter from her eccentric and dangerous boyfriend.

After the demise of Ratan Tata, Amitabh shared this photo with him and wrote – Today an era has ended.

'There is as much ketchup in the movies as it is not in the restaurants of Mumbai.' Apart from this, Tata once made fun of action films. Ratan had said in Simi Garewal's show, 'You cannot avoid seeing him on television today. My Hindi has improved because of watching these films. But seeing the excessive violence in many films, it seems that there is not as much ketchup spread in the restaurants of Mumbai as is found in the films.
