Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma has made a comeback with his new comedy show 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'. The first episode of the show was recently released on Netflix.
Actor Ranbir Kapoor became a part of the opening episode of this new season along with mother Neetu Kapoor and sister Riddhima Kapoor. On this occasion, Ranbir shared an incident related to his marriage and shoe hiding ceremony.
Ranbir, along with mother Neetu and sister Riddhima, became a part of the first episode of the new season of Kapil's show.
During the episode, when the Kapoor family was talking about the marriage of Ranbir and Alia Bhatt, Kapil asked whether Ranbir had given lakhs of rupees to Alia's sister in the shoe hiding ceremony? Responding to this, Ranbir immediately said – 'No, it is just a rumour.' After this Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor told that she had given some cash.

Ranbir said- My marriage took place at home itself.
Ranbir further told that as per the ritual, Alia's sister had demanded a few lakh rupees from him. But the actor convinced him only for a few thousand rupees.
On hearing this, Archana Puran Singh, who was present on the set, said – Only a thousand… isn't it much less? Responding to him, Ranbir said- 'Yes, my marriage took place at home. The shoes will still be at home. If you want, take it.
Ranbir and Alia got married on the balcony of their Mumbai apartment in April 2022 after dating each other for a few years. Both of them became parents for the first time in November 2022, when Alia gave birth to daughter Raha.

Ranbir narrated the story related to his father
On this occasion, Ranbir also shared an anecdote related to his father, late actor Rishi Kapoor. The actor told that once his father had beaten him. Ranbir said- 'There was Diwali puja in RK Studio and father was very religious. I was probably 8 or 9 years old then and I entered the temple wearing shoes. Then father hit me on the head.

On the work front, Ranbir's previous film 'Animal' was a blockbuster hit. The actor will soon start shooting for director Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'. He has started preparations for this film.
