Ranbir Kapoor has talked about his bonding with father Rishi Kapoor in a recent interview.

Ranbir also remembered the day when the doctors told him that Rishi Kapoor could die at any time. He had a panic attack after knowing this truth. However, Ranbir did not cry after Rishi Kapoor's death, nor did he feel the absence of his father.

Let us tell you, Rishi Kapoor died on 30 April 2022 due to cancer.

Ranbir did not cry on his father's death

While talking to Nikhil Kamath, Ranbir said- I had stopped crying a long time ago. I did not cry even after Papa's death. One day when I was in the hospital at night, the doctor said- this is his (Rishi Kapoor's) last night. He can go away anytime.

I remember having a panic attack after going into the room. I didn't know how to express myself. There was a lot going on at that time that had to be managed. But I don't think I mourned, or felt the loss of him.

'One day papa came to me and started crying…'

Ranbir further said- When Papa was undergoing treatment in New York, we spent a year together. He used to talk about it often. I was there for 45 days. One day he came and started crying. He never showed such weakness in front of me. All these things were very strange for me. I didn't know whether I should hold him or hug him. I really felt the distance.

I blame myself that I could not reduce the distance between us. Nor could I hug her and give her some love.

Ranbir further said- You are brought up in such a way where you are made to feel responsible. A lot of things were going on in my mind. I have a mother, sister, wife, daughter and my father has passed away. Can I show my weakness. I don't know what it is, but I don't want to show it.
