Filmmaker Luv Ranjan has revealed that Ranbir had given 37 takes for a scene in the film Main Jhoothi Tu Makkar. Even after this Ranbir said that if Ranjan is not happy with the shot then he will give more shots.
Ranjan wanted to cast Ajay Devgan and Ranbir together
Luv Ranjan also revealed that he initially wanted to make the film with Ranbir and Ajay Devgan. When that film was not made, he along with Ranbir made the film Main Jhoothi Tu Makkar.
Talking about his film on Sony Max, Ranjan said, 'It was a new association. Ranbir and I were working together for the first time. We started talking right there. This was a film that we were going to do together. But the film could not be made. After this I decided to make Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar with Ranbir. Ranbir also agreed on this thing.
Ranbir gave 37 takes for one scene
Ranjan further praised Ranbir's work and dedication. He said, 'Many times a lot of interesting things happen while making a film. One story is that it was the third day of shooting. We took 37 takes of Ranbir. He is the kind of person who will come to you even after giving 37 takes and say – if you are not 100% happy, let me know. I'll give it another take. Don't say it's okay just because I've done 37 takes.
The film was a hit at the box office
Let us tell you, the film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar was directed by Luv Ranjan. This film featured big celebs like Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. Made with a budget of Rs 200 crore, this film had earned Rs 223 crore worldwide.
