Leader Online Desk: Ramoji Rao, founder of Enadu and Ramoji Film City, passed away today (8th) morning at the age of 87. Ramoji Rao is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad. He breathed his last at 3.45 am. He was admitted to Star Hospital in Hyderabad on June 5 due to high blood pressure and breathing problems.
Ramoji Rao born on 16 November 1936 was an Indian industrialist, media entrepreneur and film producer. He was the head of the Ramoji group. He has founded the world's largest film production facility Ramoji Film City, the film production company Usha Kiran Movies. He has received four Filmfare Awards South, five Nandi Awards and a National Film Award for his work in Telugu films. In 2016, he was honored with the Padma Vibhushan Award for his contribution to journalism, literature and education.
