Rameswaram Cafe Blast Case, Suspect Not Arrested : NIA Statement Released | leader









Leader Online Desk : It was reported that the suspect in the Rameswaram cafe blast case in Bangalore has been arrested. But the National Investigation Agency (NIA) clarified in a statement that no such action was taken. Sources informed that 'NIA' has detained a suspect in Rameswaram cafe blast case. The name of the suspect was said to be Shabbir. There were also reports that he had to be detained from Ballari in Karnataka.

On March 1, 10 people were injured in a low-intensity blast at the famous Rameswaram Cafe in Bangalore. An IED bomb was detonated in the cafe using a timer. The police had released several CCTV footages showing the prime suspect. On March 1, a 30-year-old suspect was seen carrying a plate of idlis to the cafe. A bag was seen on his shoulder. It was suspected to have an IED bomb inside. In another CCTV footage, the same suspect was seen walking towards the restaurant with the bag.

The NIA had announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for any information on the suspect.The Rameswaram cafe was reopened on March 8. (Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe Blast) After several sources reported that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested the main suspect in the Bengaluru cafe blast case, the NIA has issued a statement saying that no action has been taken.
