Rakul was nervous while introducing Jackky Bhagnani to father: She said, 'Food got stuck in my throat after hearing father's question'

Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani got married on 21st February in Goa. The couple made their relationship public in the year 2021. In a recent interview, Rakul mentioned the first meeting of her husband Jackie and her father. Rakul told that she was very nervous before this meeting.

I told my father to meet Jackie nicely.
In an interview given to DNA, Rakul said, 'I was most nervous before this meeting. I spoke to my father and told him that Jackie is coming to meet you and he is going to meet you for the first time so please meet him nicely. Since he is not an army person, meet him not like an army officer but like a father. But father being father, he started questioning Jackie directly. The good thing was that Jackie was also completely prepared.

'I told Jackie not to worry'
Sharing an incident from the year 2021, Rakul said, 'Jackie came to Delhi on my mother's birthday. I told dad to please don't spoil anything because we both had started dating each other some time ago. I told them to just look at the boy… I told Jackie that she need not worry because Papa will not ask anything.

Papa said- Work is fine but what is the plan with my daughter?
Rakul further said, 'When we all were having lunch together, father asked Jackie about her plans. Jackie said that these days she is busy preparing for her next film 'Mission Raniganj'. My dad immediately said – 'The work is fine but what is your plan with my daughter?' On hearing this, my food got stuck in my throat.

Rakul said, 'The answer given by Jackie after this won Papa's heart and Papa also became Jackie's fan. Jackie told Papa that whenever I am ready for marriage, he will also be ready. Jackie and Rakul recently got married in Goa with Anand Karaj and Sindhi customs. Many celebs including Shahid Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Shilpa Shetty, Varun Dhawan and Bhumi Pednekar attended this wedding.
