Rakul Preet Singh told that at the beginning of her career she was replaced from 2 films. In one film she was going to work with Prabhas. The other film was MS Dhoni's biopic, in which Disha Patani was later cast in her place.
Rakul said that she was not heartbroken by these rejections. She was just afraid that the wrong perception might be created in the industry that she was removed from projects because of her bad attitude.
Rakul was removed from the film after shooting for four days In an interview to Ranveer Allahbadia, Rakul said, 'Before my debut, I was fired from a film for which I had even shot for four days. It was a Telugu film with Prabhas. But sometimes when you don't know much about the industry or the way it works, you don't take it to heart. I was so naive that I thought – oh well, they removed me. Never mind, maybe it wasn't for me, I will do something else.'
The makers had decided to cast an old actress Rakul further told why she was removed from the film. She said that after some time the makers realized that the level of the film is such that it would be better to cast an old actress instead of casting a new actress.
Nobody told Rakul about her being removed from the film Rakul also revealed that no one informed her about her ouster from the film. She said, 'I had come to Delhi after completing my schedule. I came to know about this incident later. However, I knew that I would not get that first big launch, I had to work my way. Then my first film proved to be a big hit.
Rakul was going to work in the film MS Dhoni In the same interview, Rakul also told that she was also removed from the MS Dhoni biopic in which late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was in the lead role.
The actress said, 'Later Disha Patani was cast in that role. I had done the costume and script reading, but then her dates got extended by a month and I was shooting films with Ram Charan and Jr NTR. Bruce Lee: The Fighter was going to release in a month and two songs were yet to be shot. Because of this the dates could not be managed. I cried a lot that I missed out on working in such a good film.'
