The bank has seized property worth crores of Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav. This case is related to the actor's film 'Aata Pata Lapata' released in 2012. This film was directed by Rajpal while his wife Radha Yadav was its producer.
For the film, Rajpal had taken a loan of 5 crores from the Bandra branch of Central Bank of India, Mumbai. Now, due to his inability to repay the loan, his property worth crores located in Seth Enclave in Shahjahanpur has been seized by the bank.
Rajpal made his directorial debut with this film, released in 2012.
The bank put up its board on the property
If media reports are to be believed, officials of Central Bank of India from Mumbai had reached Shahjahanpur two days ago. On Sunday, a banner of the bank was put up on Rajpal's property. It is written on it that this property belongs to Central Bank of India Mumbai and no kind of purchase or sale should be done on it. On Monday morning, officials of Central Bank of India Mumbai reached this property and seized it.
Rajpal made his Bollywood debut in 1999 with the film 'Dil Kya Kare'. However, he got real recognition from the film 'Jungle' released in the year 2000.
Spent three months in jail in 2018
Earlier in 2018, Rajpal had to go to jail for 3 months in this case. Delhi based company Murali Projects had filed a civil case against Rajpal Yadav's company Shri Naurang Godavari Entertainment. Rajkumar had taken this loan in the year 2010.
