New Delhi; Leading News Service : Rajiv Gandhi : The central government has extended the ban on the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) for the next five years. The government took this decision as the LTTE was still promoting separatism among the people.

Working for 'Eelam' by secretly raising funds.” (Rajiv Gandhi)

Eelam means an independent country for Tamils. LTTE leaders and workers have once again mobilized their cadres and started efforts to revive the organization at the local and international levels.
