Karisma Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with the film Raja Hindustani released in 1996. People loved this film very much. But Karisma Kapoor was adamant to get a scene of this film done. Actually, there is a song in this film 'Tere Ishq Mein Naachenge' in which Aamir Khan is angry with Karisma. There is a scene in the middle of the song where Aamir pulls Karisma's hair. Aamir was not ready to do this scene. He even refused the director of the film for this. But Karisma wanted this scene to be done.
The director of the film narrated the story
The director of the film Dharmesh Darshan had made a revelation about Karisma Kapoor in an interview given to Lehren Retro. He told that a scene of the song 'Tere Ishq Mein Naachenge' was inspired by Raj Kapoor. In this song, Karisma Kapoor is seen stopping Aamir Khan from doing something wrong while drunk. Dharmesh told that Aamir Khan did not want to do the scene of pulling Karisma Kapoor's hair as per his role. He said that as per the character of 'Raja', he should be shown holding Karisma Kapoor's hand in anger. Pulling hair would not look right in this character.
Karisma had revealed the secret of Raj Kapoor
Dharmesh told that he had agreed with Aamir. But Karishma wanted the scene to be shot the way it was decided earlier. Then Karishma Kapoor told the director that she had seen Raj Kapoor doing this. She had seen her grandfather pulling women's hair. Dharmesh said that it was Karishma's idea that the tense scene between her and Aamir in 'Tere Ishq Mein Naachenge' should be shot the same way. After listening to Karishma, this scene was kept in the film.
