Raima Sen has expressed her desire to act in a biopic on her grandmother Suchitra Sen. The actress said that it would be interesting to convey her story to the people through films.

She did not want to be seen in public much.

While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Raima Sen said, 'I want to do a biopic, especially on my grandmother Suchitra Sen. My grandmother dedicated her entire life to her work. In her time, she never wanted to be seen much in public. She believed that whatever the audience sees her in the film, that should be her identity. In today's time, things have changed. But my grandmother maintained this thinking till her last days.'

The actress further said, 'There are many unheard things and struggles in my grandmother's story, which people should know. I think it would be interesting to show these stories through films.'

Suchitra Sen was a famous actress of Bengali cinema. She worked in many hit films like 'Sagarika' and 'Darshan'. She received many awards for her acting. After retirement from films, she spent her personal life peacefully.

Suchitra disappeared from the eyes of the world

As soon as she left films, Suchitra disappeared. She locked herself in a small room where she slept on a small bed. Even Suchitra's family was not allowed to meet her. The limit was crossed when she stopped leaving her room. Suchitra had taken the path of spirituality by contacting Bharat Maharaj of Ramakrishna Ashram.

Suchitra was seen only once

Suchitra was seen outside the house only once when she reached Belur Math barefoot on the death of Bharat Maharaj. Suchitra's granddaughter Raima Sen says that her grandmother sometimes came out of the room, but at that time three-fourth of her face was covered with a cloth. She died on 17 January 2014 due to lung infection.
